This web site is dedicated to the camping enthusiast that loves the great outdoors, but doesn’t want to rough it. On the pages of this web site you will find articles that make camping/RV’ing more comfortable, more convenient, and safer.
We are a family of four that enjoys camping in our 30 foot Airstream travel trailer. It allows us to see this great country of ours while taking all the comforts of home with us. We try to go on at least one camping trip per month on average. We don’t always make one every month, but we try to make it on the road an average of 12 times per year. Find out who we are below.
The Dad:
Tom Evans is a graduate of the Auburn University School of Architecture and has been a project manager in the construction industry for most of his career.
The Mom:
Becki Evans is a graduate of Liberty Baptist University and has been an elementary school teacher for 16 years.
The Older Son:
Jordan Evans is truly an intellectually gifted child of 13 years old and has a thirst for knowledge. While at the awkward age of adolescence he marches to his own drum.
The Younger Son:
Jonathan Evans is a precocious 10 year old with a keen sense of humor and a love for soccer and other boyish concerns. He loves a good joke and his Nintendo DS.
The Family Dog:
Sulley is named for the Monsters, Inc. character James P. Sullivan. He is four years old and wryly lives up to the “dumb blonde” reputation when he uses his selective hearing to pursue stubborn actions that often lands him in doggie time-out.

And let’s not forget our Airstream:
We have one of 73 30 foot Safari Bunks that Airstream produced from model year 2004 through 2006. It is the only two bedroom plan that Airstream ever produced and includes a master “state room” and a second “state room” containing a pair of permanent bunk beds. Our 30 foot Bunk is one of the last of this floor plan produced. With our dinette and our sleeper sofa, we can accommodate eight sleepers. There was a variation to this plan that included a queen sized lower bunk yielding a maximum accommodation for nine. However, most 30 foot Bunks had a pair of swivel chairs with a writing table in the location where we have a sleeper sofa. We have decorated our Airstream in a combination of Disney (our favorite destination), Safari print linens and accessories, and palm trees. We named our Airstream after one of Tom’s favorite performers (Jimmy Buffett) songs: “Changes in Latitudes”.
